Passionately pursuing Jesus through deeper Bible study

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly.
Colossians 3:16

The Biblical Foundation Team will lead classes in sound Bible study to learn the full counsel of God’s Word.

It has been said that we become what we behold, and there is nothing more transformative to our lives than beholding God in His Word. Knowing Scripture is an essential part of spiritual maturity and Biblical literacy. But how can we conform to the image of a God we have not beheld?

As a disciple of Christ, we are called to learn, and learning requires effort. As we make the effort to know God better, we grow more in love with Him. And to know Him better, we must study His Word.

In the fullness of time

At the close of the Old Testament story, a small group of Israelites were reestablished in the Holy Land, the walls of Jerusalem and the Temple were rebuilt, and idolatry had been rooted out of the nation.  When the New Testament opens, Rome is the ruling power, synagogues are everywhere, and there are groups called Sadducees and Pharisees badgering the Jews about every aspect of life.

What happened in the middle?

Galatians 4:4-7 describes how Jesus was sent by God "in the fullness of time", or at exactly the right time.

Please join Sanjay Merchant as he teaches us how each ruling empire prepared the way for the arrival of Jesus, and the spreading of the Good News across the world.

The Historicity of the Resurrection

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the foundation for our Christian faith. Therefore, the historicity of Jesus’ death and resurrection is crucial to what we believe.

Join Adjunct Teaching Pastor, Sanjay Merchant, as he discusses biblical evidences of these events.

Are We Living in the End Times?

COVID! Riots! Natural disasters! Militant Islam! Persecution!

It seems like the world is coming down around our ears! To many Christians, it appears these events are pointing to the return of Christ. Are we living in the End Times? How can we know?

Join Dr. Alan Hultberg, Associate Professor of New Testament at Talbot School of Theology, Biola University, as we explore what the Bible has to say about the events of the last days and where our own days might fit into them.
