WHO WE ARE

At Northshore, we are dedicated to providing a safe and loving environment for all people with special needs. We believe the Gospel is completely accessible, and strive for all to understand it and grow in their faith. We know that the journey for families impacted by disabilities can be challenging, and that’s why we are here. We desire to deeply love, encourage, and support each special family. We are not just a ministry - we’re a family, and we’re here to grow in the Lord together.

What We Do

Kids & Teens

Your child is welcome to participate in any of our Northshore Kids or Student Ministry programs! If needed, we have trained one-on-one buddies available to help your child(ren) or youth thrive both here and in their relationship with the Lord. We welcome all abilities and would be happy to chat with you to prepare for your first visit.

Adults

All are welcome at our services and to join any of our ministries. We want you to have a place to belong here and would love to assist you with any special accommodations that are needed.

Life Group Opportunity

Please join us Sundays for our Life Group for teens (16+) and adults with intellectual and or developmental disabilities. We worship together with the Northshore family and then after communion, we head to our room for prayer time, Bible study, and a fun activity.

Helen Kovach serves as the Director of the Special Needs Ministry at Northshore. Helen has been part of the team since September of 2024 and loves making the church body a place for everyone to belong. With a heart for discipleship of all abilities and walking with families through all their ups and downs, Helen is passionate about serving those with special needs and disabilities and she sees it as an honor to serve God in this capacity. Outside of church, you can find her enjoying the beautiful Pacific Northwest or using her creativity to make things beautiful again.
